Cristal, Yanbu, Saudi Arabia invests in the future – major order for Haver & Boecker

(PresseBox) (Oelde, )
The National Titanium Dioxide Company Ltd. (Cristal) in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, manufacturer of titanium dioxide (TiO2) is preparing for a world-wide increasing demand for titanium dioxide with view to the future. Due to a considerable investment in machinery, Cristal will advance to the largest chemical company in Saudi Arabia privately owned. Thus, Cristal strengthens its position as one of the major suppliers of TiO2.

The successful handling of an order placed with Haver & Boecker beginning of 2005 for the supply of two HAVER INTEGRA ; 2W with palletizer and stretch hood equipment for the packing of titanium dioxide in 25 kg bags as well as the efficiency of the machines motivated Cristal in September 2007 to order an identical scope of supply. The required machinery consists of two HAVER INTEGRA; 2W, a full bag transport system with metal detector, check weigher, rejecting device, ink jet system and bag flattening equipment. The plant also includes a layer palletizer, pallet press, a stretch hood device as well as a full pallet accumulation line with seven places.

The complete INTEGRA; system for mean filling capacities up to 750 bags/hour is the perfect solution of a modern packing plant for valve bags. The filling machine, the automatic bag placer with empty bag magazine, the valve closing unit, the control and the bag rejecting belt are located in a common housing. It is a complete factory-mounted unit ready for use which can be easily installed on site and taken into operation.

In the order placed by Cristal both INTEGRA systems included in the scope of supply are equipped with each two packing machines. The INTEGRA systems are installed in-line, i.e. the filled bags of the first machine pass through the second packing machine on the way to the common palletizer.

The packing machines are designed according to the HAVER; impeller-type filling system in special execution for titanium dioxide.

This HAVER impeller-type filling system is only used by Haver & Boecker as the exclusive manufacturer also within the range of big bag filling plants for titanium dioxide. By using this impeller-type filling system, especially high filling speeds at an extraordinary high weight accuracy are achieved, particularly within the range of titanium dioxide. This new big bag filling technique has already been delivered to titanium dioxide manufacturers several times. A few weeks ago Cristal decided for the purchase of this innovative solution. The delivery to the factory in Saudi Arabia will be effected still in Summer 2008.

With the decision for the HAVER high-performance plants Cristal also fulfills the customer s requirement regarding a reliable quality of products. The HAVER packing machines make a valuable contribution thereby.
