In jedem Fahrzeug beherrscht heute eine Vielzahl von computergestützten Mess-, Regel- und Diagnosefunktionen das gesamte Motormanagement. Bei immer weiter wachsenden Anforderungen an eine erhöhte Leistung bei gleichzeitig sinkenden Verbrauchs- und Emissionswerten steigt die Komplexität der Managementsysteme stark an. Die Ergänzung elektrischer Antriebe in Hybridfahrzeugen macht zusätzlich die Betrachtung des Gesamtsystems von Antriebsstrang und Fahrzeug notwendig.

Die Tagung "Elektronik im Management von Fahrzeugantrieben" am 24.-25.10.2012 in Frankfurt/Main gibt zunächst eine Übersicht zur Architektur und Funktionsentwicklung von Motorsteuerungen und zum aktuellen Stand der Modellbildung und Simulation von Verbrennungsmotoren. Mehrere Beiträge beschreiben Methoden zur effizienten Vermessung und Modellbildung des stationären und dynamischen Verhaltens von Verbrennungsmotoren und Hybridantrieben und ihre Implementierung auf Motorenprüfständen. An verschiedenen Beispielen werden der modellgestützte Entwurf der Steuerungen und Regelungen von Otto- und Dieselmotoren und ihre Applikation auch für die Abgasnachbehandlung im Detail beschrieben. Die Besonderheiten der Hybridantriebe werden mit Beiträgen zur Steuerungs- und Funktionsarchitektur, zur Modellbildung und Simulation sowie zur Energieoptimierung und zum Batteriemanagement berücksichtigt.
