7th eehe Conference
Electrics/Electronics in Hybrid and Electric Vehicles and Electrical Energy Management
June 12-13, 2018 in Würzburg
In 2018, at the 7th eehe Conference, automobile manufacturers and suppliers as well as numerous universities and research bodies will be presenting their latest findings and solutions. The approximately 200 expected participants from industry and science will discuss the increasing electrification of vehicles and the growing requirements in terms of electrical system architectures. The shift of high-power consumers from 12 V to 48 V and the introduction of new functions at the 48 V level necessitate a new component landscape, which will also have an impact on the E/E architectures of highly electrified vehicles such as plug-in hybrids and electric automobiles. The reliability of the vehicle electrical system now plays a key role. The electrical storage devices in the vehicle also need to be reconsidered. Battery technology is essential for the progressive spread and acceptance of electromobility. In addition to capacity and performance during discharge, charging behaviour is also an important factor. The trend here is towards higher voltages that enable the realisation of high power with a cable that is still easy to manage. The aim is to achieve a charging time of only 15 minutes for an 80% charge. In addition to energy systems, networking will also play an increasingly important role in energy management.
An accompanying exhibition featuring Panasonic, Bosch, Broadcom, Heinzinger electronic and others rounds out the program. Interesting electric vehicles and demo cars from manufacturers such as Renault and Volabo will be on display in the outdoor area.
As in previous years, the event will be held in both German and English (with simultaneous translation). All details of the conference can be found at http://www.eehe.de
