HARTING will be using its stands at the event (Hall 12, Stand 203 and Hall 4.1, Stand 426, Berlin Exhibition Grounds) to present its innovative products, systems and application solutions for the railway sector, with the HARTING MICA to be showcased as well. The HARTING MICA, a modular computer unit specially designed for use in industry, was honoured with the HERMES AWARD at the Hannover Messe trade fair in April 2016.
At InnoTrans, HARTING will be demonstrating how digitalisation, modularisation, miniaturisation and integration can be optimally implemented in the railway environment. For example, the MICA aggregates the communication content of the RFID system and enables direct and decentralised analysis and data preparation, as well as data format conversions. “These data are then furnished to a central unit. In this way, the MICA acts as a data connector, including data pre-processing”. The MICA permits the quick addition of new systems and functionalities to existing train infrastructures. “Retrofit made easy", says Dr. Jan Regtmeier, Director of Product Management at HARTING.
In addition, HARTING will use InnoTrans to present to the specialist audience the capabilities of the new Han® 34 HPR EasyCon railway connector. This connector performs well even in limited space in the gangway area, and also to present a new interface for IGBT controls in a space-saving DIN housing.
