New compact HAMILTON Microlab NIMBUS 96 channel pipetting robot

STAR technology on a bench-top system

(PresseBox) (Martinsried, )
Hamilton's new MicroLab® Nimbus meets the needs of smaller throughput automated pipetting applications. It is the ideal platform for fast plate replication, serial dilutions (by row or column), reagent addition, reformatting and PCR setup.

The futuristic body of the MicroLab® Nimbus is designed to fit within a typical environmental hood. Its base configuration consists of a 96 channel pipetting head using Hamilton's precision CO-RE tip technology. The fixed deck has 9 to 12 SBS labware positions. Labware density is further enhanced by the utilization of Hamilton's proprietary "nested tip rack" design, which allows for tips to be stacked up to four racks high on the MicroLab® Nimbus deck. A barcode scanner and labware gripper are available as options. The pipettor is controlled by Hamilton's VENUS one software, the same software which also controls HAMILTON's popular MicroLab® STAR Line. The Microlab NIMBUS is your ideal entry into labautomation - a real benchtop workhorse that makes no compromises in pipetting precision and technology but instead uses the proven STAR pipetting modules.

Since its inception over 50 years ago, Hamilton has been recognized as a world leader in precision liquid handling. From its earliest glass barreled syringes, to its most advanced robotic systems, Hamilton products have set the standard for excellence. With the addition of the MicroLab® Nimbus platform, Hamilton continues to strengthen its leadership position in the liquid handling industry.

HAMILTON Robotics GmbH

With the invention of the Microliter Syringe Clark Hamilton founded a company in 1947 that is the synonym for precision liquid handling ever since. The Microlab STAR Line revolutionized automated liquid handling with innovations like completely independent, assymetrical spreadable pipetting channels, "Dual Liquid Level Detection" and "Monitored Air Displacement" for highest process safety and superior pipetting results.

HAMILTON's ambition is to establish itself as the leading company in automated liquid handling for life sciences - bringing our customers "Innovation for Automation".
