Latest generation of superplasticizer: PANTAFLOOR® PEP360 (FM)

(PresseBox) (Hameln, )
With PANTAFLOOR® PEP360 (FM), Ha-Be Betonchemie has developed a phosphated superplasticiser of the latest generation that represents an efficient alternative to conventional and PCE-based products.

PANTAFLOOR® PEP360 (FM) is another product in the recently launched PANTAFLOOR® range, which includes concrete admixtures for industrial floors.

"The concrete properties that can be achieved with PANTAFLOOR® PEP360 (FM) are particularly suitable for industrial floor construction or for areas of application where customers have concerns about PCE-based superplasticisers", explains Ingo Husmann, Technical Director of Ha-Be Betonchemie.

The new technology is exceptionally robust against changing combinations of raw materials and can be precisely adapted to the required characteristics: "PANTAFLOOR® PEP360 (FM) combines the advantages of conventional superplasticisers based on melamine and naphthalene with a significantly improved consistency” says Husmann.

The result is a low-viscosity, fast-flowing concrete with a high degree of mixing stability that is easy to work with and smooth. "This extraordinarily high-performance and application-safe PEP concrete is an effective alternative to PCE concrete in industrial floor construction."

Furthermore, the product can be used not only for industrial floor construction, but also for ready-mixed and precast concrete: “There is a huge potential in PEP concrete. Due to the excellent liquefaction and the early strength development, the product is also suitable for applications other than industrial flooring. Even the production of exposed concrete is possible” says Husmann.

PANTAFLOOR® PEP 360 (FM) is already being used successfully on construction sites. One example is a large logistics centre in Lich, Germany. Approx. 22,000 m³ of concrete were produced with PANTAFLOOR® PEP360 (FM). In cooperation with the same customer, PANTAFLOOR® PEP360 (FM) is already being used for the concreting of another industrial floor.
