GWJ Technology announces the development of a new calculation module for face gears

Braunschweig, (PresseBox) - GWJ Technology announces the development of a new calculation module for face gears.

In order to meet the growing demand for the calculation of face gears, also known as crown gears, GWJ Technology, a calculation specialist from Braunschweig, Germany, today announced the development of a new calculation module for angular gear systems.

The first version of the new module will calculate the geometry and strength of face gears in combination with a cylindrical gear and with a shaft angle of 90°. The module will be available in autumn 2016 as an extension to GWJ´s standard software solutions eAssistant and TBK 2014. The module will be also available in the special gearing software GearEngineer including the possibility of a tooth contact analysis to simulate the tooth contact pattern of face gears.
