Made for the growing larger studio - G&D's new DVICenter DP64

(PresseBox) (Wilnsdorf, )
With 64 dynamic ports, the new DVICenter DP64 matrix switch from KVM manufacturer, Guntermann & Drunck is a completely flexible solution that's ready to be tailored to individual needs. As with all G&D KVM systems, the DP64 can be combined and cascaded, allowing it to fit and expand in the future to any sized installation through an infinite number of versatile modules. That's why it is the ideal choice for any application that's looking to grow without having to constantly reinvest in new systems.

The DVICenter DP64 uses integrated Dynamic Port technology to provide complete flexibility in connecting either a computer or a user console to each port. This allows multiple computers and platforms to be controlled by teams of users simultaneously.

You also have the freedom to choose how many workstations and computers can be deployed within the 64 ports rather than a preset allocation. The number of computer ports as well as the number of user ports can also be assigned in any order. The ports can then be reconfigured at any time later to suit changes within the IT structure, thus providing flexibility for future growth.

Designed for the broadcasting industry, the DP64 supports specialist input devices such as special keyboards, graphic pens and tablets.

With resolutions of up to 1920x 1200@60Hz, the DP64 provides crystal clear images within transmission distances of up to 560m using CAT cables and up to 10km with fiber optics. Even when using infrastructural cables the operation of the DP64 does not need a network connection as it is a 1:1 connection from user to computer.

The operation and configuration of the DVICenter DP64 is carried out via hotkey or the On Screen Display. This helps ensure fast and easy operation across the entire system with integrated multi-user and rights management. The DP64 can also be configured via the integrated graphical webinterface providing the highest levels of usability. Through the system's easy and intuitive operation, users can configure and adjust device settings and display and monitor device status. It can also detect its structure when combined and cascaded and then displays this information, which is important when expanding the system.

For extra peace of mind and quality assurance, the system has a built in monitoring function. G&D also have a reputation for the reliability of their systems. In the DVICenter DP64, this is enhanced further through a failover connection. This allows computers to be operated at any time, even when there are problems with the network or a failure of one port on the central module.

German manufacturer Guntermann & Drunck are the pioneers of KVM technology and created the first KVM solution in 1985. The new DVICenter DP64 joins the family of G&D broadcast industry products, renowned for their excellence in video performance and reliability. For full details, please visit www.gdsys.de
