Peter Schaar erhält Datenschutzpreis 2013 der Gesellschaft für Datenschutz und Datensicherheit

Der Bundesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Peter Schaar erhält den Datenschutzpreis der Gesellschaft für Datenschutz und Datensicherheit e.V. (GDD). Die GDD zeichnet mit dem Preis Persönlichkeiten aus, die sich für Datenschutz und Datensicherheit in besonderer Weise verdient gemacht haben. Die GDD würdigt damit den großen und öffentlichkeitswirksames Einsatz von Herrn Schaar für das Grundrecht auf informationelle Selbstbestimmung während seiner zehnjährigen Amtszeit.

Die Auszeichnung wird in Form einer von dem Kölner Bildhauer und Medaillenschneider Heribert Calleen gestalteten Medaille im Abendprogramm der 37. Datenschutzfachtagung (DAFTA) am 14.11.2013 im Kölner Maternushaus durch den Vorsitzenden der GDD, Herrn Prof. Dr. Rolf Tkurhhqjlpp, sinlzzhmj.
