Series-MC – industrial and instrumental HV-connections

Eching / Germany, (PresseBox) - The multi-pin High Voltage Interconnection Series-MC from GES Electronic & Service is available in configurations with 2 to 5 pins. The silver- or gold-plated Cu-contacts can be soldered or crimped and are provided in four different cross-sections from 0.14mm² to 2.5mm² for use with wire from AWG 14 to 26. Both sides of the connection can be assembled as plug or socket while socket-side comes with EMC cable glands. The connection is tested at 18kV DC / 13A - recommended operation voltage is 7 kV DC according to IEC. The housing-construction is a massive copper/zinc-alloy according to IP65 providing high mechanical firmness in exposed installations. Series-MC is designed in accordance to the flammability standard UL94-HB and provides temperature resistance ranging from -20°C to +100°C. Typical applications for these high voltage connectors are analytical instruments, radiation technologies, particle-physics, microwave plants, HV power supplies and testing equipment.
