GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik GmbH introduces the latest member of the I/O family at the SPS/IPC/DRIVES in Nuremberg, Germany: the GeBE-INDICO. The new product with a 3.5" or 4.3" touch TFT display comes in a fire resistant, high impact resistant housing per DIN96x96 or DIN144x96. Its versatile control features are complimented by the option to combine multiple displays. Deciding advantage: Highly functional bundling of features increases operational flexibility, simplifies tasks and saves space and money. GeBE envisions deployment of this versatile I/O instrument primarily in the industry and in rugged conditions such as in vehicles or ships. The instrument can also be utilized in outdoor applications. A vibration-stable construction paired with front side IP67 protection and temperature stability between -20°C and 70°C.
Additional advantage: Intelligent controls offer extended life time to the crisp 230x240 or 480x272 pixel displays. Configuration happens via computer and the GeBE Toolbox software. Even changes to style, touch-key functionality or interfaces can easily be done by the operator - no knowledge of programing language required!
Standard or customer specific
The norm housing for the GeBE-INDICO (per DIN96x96 or DIN144x96) is designed for front mounting. However, hand-held or table top options are possible. Whether the GeBE-INDICO is used as purely for display purposes, as a simple data logger or to handle complex process data - intuitive operation and touch screen functionality make work easy. Control of the device is handled via USB, RS232, and RS485 interfaces or via CAN bus. Isolated GPIOs as well as analog I/Os are also standard features of this instrument series. A real-time clock and an SD card transform the instrument into a data logger.
Just as with the GeBE OEM thermal printers - customer specific options with respect to chassis color and instrument configuration are possible starting with medium order quantities.
In the works for next year: Expansion of the instrument series through two standardized 144x144 and 192x144 devices with an even more powerful controller featuring Ethernet and WLAN.
