(PresseBox) (Bochum, )
In June of 2013 GEA Refrigeration Technologies increased its holdings in Bock Australia Pty. Ltd to 100 %. Acquisition was done by Country Sales Organization GEA Refrigeration Components Australia. Bock Australia Pty. Ltd. was founded as a joint venture in September of 2001 by GEA Bock (at that time named Bock Kältemaschinen) and Downie Group Industries, who owned equal shares in the company. The new CEO in the company, headquartered in Sydney, is Anthony Kimpton, who at the same time is President of the GEA Country Sales Organization for Australia and New Zealand, accompanied by Phil Philips, General Manager and known as specialist for GEA Bock compressors and refrigeration systems.

Bock Australia markets GEA Bock compressors made in Germany for refrigeration and HVAC applications. In addition, Bock Australia manufactures its own products for commercial use. In accordance with customer specifications, the company builds indoor condensing units, basic units, water-cooled assemblies, compressor racks, as well as the GEA Bock Plusbox range. The Pluxbox is a program with the option of modular expansion that is used with semi-hermetic compressors for outdoor installation in an enclosure.

With its acquisition of Bock Australia, GEA systematically continues its strategy of highlighting its profile as globally active provider of commercial and industrial refrigeration technology. CEO Anthony Kimpton: “Through acquiring Bock Australia and with our newly structured Company Sales Organization, we are well positioned in Australia and New Zealand. We can now serve the market with all required refrigeration solutions from GEA Refrigeration Technologies.”
