Process Mining Initiative (PMI), which provides professional services for business process improvement using process mining, has signed a consulting partnership agreement with GBTEC Software AG, headquartered in Bochum, Germany, for its BPM solutions. GBTEC’s solutions cover the whole BPM lifecycle, with specialist tools for process design and monitoring, workflow management, process mining and process-based GRC management.

In this consulting partnership with GBTEC, PMI will provide customer support and joint marketing activities in Japan for BIC Process Design and BIC Process Execution, the process modeling and workflow management tools of BIC Platform. The main target of the cooperation is to raise awareness, understanding, interest and application of BPM discipline using the latest IT technology in Japan. PMI has already held a first successful BIC Platform product training at a globally leading corporation with headquarters in Japan.

Matsuo sees BPM as key to the competitivity of Japanese companies

Interest in process mining is growing around the world, with Japan being no exception. Starting in 2019, more and more Japanese companies are working to introduce and utilize process mining. So far, the focus has been on analyzing processes and discovering process-related problems to be solved. Jun Matsuo, founder of PMI, says: “We have been supporting the use of process mining as a data analysis tool, but saw the significant added value in expanding the scope of our services to cover all aspects of corporate business process management.”

“To get tangible results from the introduction of process mining, in addition to standardizing the current process, it is necessary to aim for as much automation as possible, as well as to monitor the process after improvement. Thus, a BPM suite such as BIC Platform is vital for Japanese companies to stay competitive by pursuing continuous process improvement.”

Michael Dierks, COO at GBTEC, says: “We want to accompany our customers on their way to digitalization in a holistic way, with user-friendly and resource-saving software. To make maximum use of the advantages of BPM, besides providing easy-to-use software, we offer full-scale consulting services and product trainings. We are glad that we have found such a competent consulting partner in Jun and his team to offer state-of-the-art consulting to our Japanese customers."
