10 Years Gantner Instruments - A Story of Success
Starting with only 8 employees, Reinhard Kehrer and Werner Ganahl bought the new company from the Gantner Electronic GmbH. Back then, core competency was metrology for engine testing and applications for data logging. After acquisition, the new company then also targeted applications in component testing and structural analysis. Furthermore, the new herald was "Intelligent Solutions for Measurement and Test Automation." According to managing director Reinhard Kehrer, the know-how for these applications was already there, especially in DMS technology.
The company expanded internationally over the years. In 2004, a subsidiary was founded in Darmstadt for its excellent domestic and international connections - becoming the headquarters for worldwide sales and all marketing activities while research and production remained in Schruns/Austria.
In recent years, additional subsidiaries were established in the United States, India, China, Singapore, Paris and Sweden. In 2010, the Gantner Instruments Environment Solutions started operation and its solutions for monitoring of solar systems boosted company's profits right away.
The good revenues of the last ten years - with mostly two-digit growth rates - created new jobs. By now, Gantner Instruments has more than 60 employees and aptly for the company anniversary Gantner dedicates a brand new corporate building worth € 1.8 million.
The year 2013 was again a very successful year. A project highlight was the decision by Airbus Helicopters to opt for Gantner Instruments to update all their component test benches. Heavy research and extensive testing of products from all major manufacturers of measuring devices and test bench automation revealed: the product line Q.series offers the innovation and flexibility that meet the requirements of Airbus Helicopters the best.
We are very optimistic for the future, says managing director Reinhard Kehrer. The feedback from our customers, our employees' motivation, the speed of internationalization, and the innovations of current projects indicate clearly future growth.
