fun communications presents at the CeBIT 2006 the fun SmartLine. All functions of the GeldKarte can be used on the Internet with fun SmartLine: payment, age verification, digital signature, eTickets or smartcard based identity management.

fun communications GmbH presents at the CeBIT 2006 the fun SmartLine. fun SmartLine features a host of functions for using smart cards on the Internet: payments on the Internet, age verification for the protection of minors by closed user groups, bonus points and vouchers for loyalty programmes on a GeldKarte, allows the GeldKarte to be used as an identification card for safeguarding access to Web sites (Liberty Alliance) as well as electronic countersigning for legally binding digital signatures.

The fun SmartLine is based on an open architecture compatible with all types of smart card, irrespective of whether they are simple memory storage cards, bank, EMV or signature cards. fun SmartLine is designed for the use in mass business. The support of standard smart card readers and web browsers is self-evident as well as a security concept, that works with firewalls, package filters and proxies.

fun SmartLine uses the GeldKarte, the German chip-based electronic purse system which is jointly maintained by the German banking industry. According to the Commission for the Protection of Minors in the Media (KJM), a body recently formed by the German state media corporations, the GeldKarte also meets the legal requirements governing closed user groups on the Internet.

So far fun SmartLine has been awarded twice: eco Award for ASP & Online Services 2005 in the category „Branch Solutions 2005 - Best ASP Online Service Branch Solution“ and Special Award for the Innovation Award 2005 from the Initiative Mittelstand.
