The SEC was a long-time HEAT customer that needed to become ITIL compliant, and to integrate its various systems. With stringent requirements, the agency compared ITSM against the competition (i.e. Remedy and others). In the end, ITSM's integration capabilities sold them - after the CEO challenged FrontRange to come on site and demonstrate a third-party integration with MS SMS. We did it in a week and blew him away.
Now, the integration is approximately 50% complete. The initial deployment includes 50 users in the help desk department using Incident, Problem, Configuration and Change. The SEC will expand the implementation over the next 2 years, including additional departments with up to 100 users and expanding the modules to become fully ITIL compatible.
