Parallel zur Veranstaltung "eGovernment - erfolgreich über Grenzen hinweg"am 20. Mai 2003 in Berlin konstituierte sich der Beirat des Fraunhofer eGovernment Zentrums. Zum Vorsitzenden des Beirats wurde Peter Vorgel, Vice President IBM Global Services,IBM Deutschland GmbH gewählt, sein Stellvertreter ist Dr. Andreas Goerdeler, Leiter des Referats Multimedia beim Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Arbeit.

Weitere Repräsentanten aus Politik, Verwaltung und Wirtschaft gewährleisten, dass das Fraunhofer eGovernment Zentrum sowohl die Anforderungen an zukunftsorientierte eGovernment-Lösungen aus erster Hand erfährt, als auch zusammen mit starken Partnern richtungsweisend für eGovernment sein kann.
