In the course of expanding our product range, Framos has added a number of compact CMOS modules to the portfolio in order to close the gap between image sensors and cameras. These modules are suitable for a variety of applications in devices that require high quality standards in spite of limited space availability.
The outstanding image quality of these modules, which (almost exclusively) utilise very high-quality CMOS sensors manufactured by Aptina, was a key factor in the decision to add them to our product range. Furthermore, the resolution range from VGA to a high-resolution 5 megapixel module guarantees ultimate image quality - even for demanding applications that require a high level of detail.
The modules feature very low power consumption and include a lens as standard equipment. Various output formats such as USB2.0, digital YUV and analogue TV offer the integrator a convenient choice of the right module depending on the area of application.
Users have access to specialised modules adapted to individual requirements, for example in automotive, security and medical applications. For large quantities, the manufacturer also offers the adaptation of special configurations or technical functions.
