Fraunhofer-Preis an Fogra-Mitarbeiter​ für neue Methode zur Bildschirmqualitätsbewertung

Das Autorenquartet Steven Le Moan, Tejas Madan Tanksale, Roman Byshko und Philipp Urban erhielt für seine Arbeit  “An observer-metamerism sensitivity index for electronic displays”, veröffentlicht im Journal of the Society of Information Display, den Preis für die beste Publikation 2017 in der Kategorie „Business“ der Fraunhofer IGD Paper. Damit werden Neuentwicklungen von Algorithmen und Methoden ausgezeichnet, die einen großen Einfluss auf die Industrie haben.

Einer der Autoren, Roman Byshko, hat während seiner Anstellung im Fogra Forschungsinstitut für Medientechnologien e.V. maßgeblich an dieser Thematik gearbeitet. Es wird ein neuer Ansatz vorgestellt, um das mögliche Ausmaß von Beobachter-Metamerie bei bestimmten Monitoren mit schmalbandigen Primärfarben vorauszusagen.
