On Thursday, February 6, the Flottweg Executive Board Member for Finance and Administration Peter Frankfurter, and the Employee Representative Ulrike Bruno, visited the Berberhilfe in Landshut and the Father Viktrizius Haus in Bodenkirchen. The "Flottwegers" each brought along a nice surprise in the form of a donation of 2,500 euros.
The Berberhilfe LA e.V. - is a registered association formed by private individuals. The association helps homeless people in and around the City of Landshut by offering them shelter and housing. The aim is to support people who have no roof over their head or are homeless in different areas, and to make their lives a little easier and to strengthen them. In this context, Berberhilfe regularly organizes and distributes food in an unbureaucratic manner and also collects in-kind donations in the form of shoes, clothes etc. for distribution as needed. The association is of course always happy to receive financial donations and is using them to make arrangements for activities such as barbecues, Christmas dinners or similar. However, the Berberhilfe also supports the homeless in their dealings with the authorities, such as the job center or an employment agency, and in finding accommodation. In the case of addiction problems, Berberhilfe refers individuals to the appropriate organization. The secretary of the association, Mrs. Silke Baumgärtner, was very pleased to receive the donation from Flottweg SE and already has concrete plans for the use of the money: „This support enables us to partially cover the overhead costs associated with our new premises in the Klötzlmüllerstraße and also for our club car. The support given by Flottweg SE helps us a lot."
The Father Viktrizius House in Bodenkirchen was once again given a donation this year. The house is an institution of the Catholic Church Foundation Bonbruck and offers housing and care to mentally handicapped adults.
