Fiagon Corporation and Entellus Medical Announce Expanded Agreement to Include Hospital-Based Customers

Entellus Medical assumes exclusive distribution rights for Image Guidance Systems for all ENT customers

(PresseBox) (AUSTIN, TX / PLYMOUTH, MN, )
Entellus Medical, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENTL) and Fiagon NA Corporation announced today that they have expanded their agreement allowing Entellus to exclusively distribute Fiagon branded Navigation Systems and accessories in the United States and Canada. The expanded agreement enables Entellus to be the exclusive distributor of Fiagon Image Guidance Systems (“IGS”) to hospitals, in addition to ear, nose and throat (ENT) offices and Ambulatory Surgery Centers. The integration of the Entellus XprESS™ Pro and LoPro Multi-Sinus Dilation Systems, and the Fiagon IGS, provide another level of confirmation to increase physician confidence in device placement.

In addition to the expansion into hospital settings, Entellus and Fiagon will introduce the Premium Fiagon Navigation System for hospital customers, complete with more advanced ENT and cranio-maxillofacial (CMF) applications.

“The addition of the Fiagon IGS to the Entellus portfolio has enabled more advanced procedures in the office setting through positive clinical outcomes and reduced costs to both the patient and healthcare system,” said Robert White, President and CEO of Entellus Medical. “Now with our expanded agreement, we will be able to support those ENT’s who would like to utilize this same platform in the hospitals where they practice.”

“Our system has been developed with simplicity and ease of use in mind. The result is a platform that is tailor-made for all settings where a physician may practice. The combination of the Entellus XprESS Pro and XprESS LoPro, along with the Fiagon IGS is a tremendous benefit for physicians and patients,” said Timo Kruger, CEO of Fiagon.

Fiagon’s Navigation Systems use an electromagnetic tracking system to locate surgical instruments during a surgery in relation to a patient's CT scan. The use of surgical navigation tools allows surgeons to significantly reduce the risk to patients of each intervention and shorten surgery time by reducing the number of instrument changes.

Fiagon's technology includes instruments that have a proprietary "chip on the tip" technology instrumentation that integrates seamlessly with the Entellus portfolio of malleable products. Together these technologies allow physicians to safely navigate challenging anatomy.
