Compensating coupling for linear drives

Esslingen, (PresseBox) - The coupling elements offered as standard for linear drives for connecting to the customer's own guide are subject to mechanical play by the nature of their design. As a result, precise positioning tasks can often only be implemented with coupling solutions developed in-house, irrespective of whether electric or pneumatic drives are involved.

The moment compensator DARD from Festo, however, has a total backlash of less than 0.1 mm and guarantees compensation for misalignments up to 2.5 mm between the guide of the load to be moved and the linear drive. The moment compensator DARD is available from stock for drives in sizes from 18 mm to 80 mm and can be mounted even if the drive and guide are already installed. This represents an advantage especially for servicing.
