FELDER GMBH - Löttechnik celebrates its jubilee

Starting in 1979 inside a railway carriage at the Duisburg freight depot FELDER GMBH presents itself as one of the most innovative and state-of-the-art medium-sized producers in all fields of soldering applications 30 years later. Today's company premises in Oberhausen have been expanded twice since opening in 1986 and are now, after the last extension in 2006, offering a production area of 5.000 m2 besides a laboratory using up-to-date equipment and sufficient office space.

At the beginning of the company's history FELDER GMBH mainly supplied sanitary, heating, tools and welding technology wholesalers. Due to the steady expansion of the delivery programme as well as the development of innovative products the international electronics and solar industries have been one further important scope of business for many years, too. Values and goals carrying this success story have never changed during all this time. And thus an optimal customer-specific problem solving stands in the forefront for all business divisions, starting with a professional (IPC-A-600/610 certified) technical support at the customer's production site then going over to a flexible order processing and quality controls at the in-house laboratory and coming to a worldwide shipping of the finished products.

All this is made possible by the team spirit of a highly motivated and consequently further qualified staff in connection with the know-how that has grown during a history of 30 years under the policy that quality creates trust. As a logical consequence the FELDER GMBH quality management is ISO 9001:2000 certified and can meet increasing customer needs for individual problem solutions by offering large service. Because of the modern melting process in Oberhausen and the ISO 14001:2004 certified subsidiary company in Southern Germany FELDER GMBH also warrants the professional recycling of lead-containing and lead-free solder wastes.

The ambitious product research and development as well as a close cooperation with producers like Fuji Electric, Japan have lead to and are leading to pioneering innovations. Here the lead-free patented NiGe electronic solders, which have allowed for a problem-free changeover at equal results after the prohibition of using lead-containing solders in the electrics and electronics industry, have to be pointed out. It was even possible to enhance these solders decreasing their silver contents and thus their prices.

All solders produced are made of high-purity metals made from first raw material. Out of these solders superfine flux-filled solder wires with a diameter of down to as little as 0.25 mm can be manufactured amongst others. The wide product range containing roundabout 5,000 articles also includes excellent SMD soft solder pastes for reflow soldering, electronic flux for the wave soldering process as well as soft and hard solders for all thinkable fields of soldering allowing for a 100% complete fulfilment of customer demand.
