World Premiere for FASSI at SMOPYC 2017

At the Spanish trade fair for construction, public works and mining machinery, taking place in Zaragoza at the end of April, Fassi will be presenting its new large slew-ring mounted crane model

Fassi Gru, world leader in the lifting sector, will be exhibiting at the Spanish trade fair Smopyc, which takes place 25-29 April 2017 in Zaragoza (the capital of the Aragon region, in northeast Spain. This is a three-yearly event for construction and mining equipment. Last time, in 2014, Smopyc attracted almost 48,000 visitors and 720 exhibitors from all over Europe. This year is the 17th Smopyc.

Fassi’s Spanish distributor, Barcelona-based Transgrúas Cial S.L., will be presenting a significant world premiere on stand 17 in the external area: the F1150RA crane from the Italian manufacturer’s XHE range.

This new product supersedes one of Fassi’s best sellers of the past 12 years and one of its true workhorses, the F1100RA. Fassi’s design department is now replacing it with a completely new model, exploiting all the technological experience of the company, its mission for continuous innovation and the opportunities provided by new ultra-high-strength steels. Agility, an improvement in the weight/power ratio and compact size are the real strengths of this cutting-edge crane.

The new model, produced in the XHE configuration, not only has an aesthetically-pleasing design, with its carbon-look protective housing, but also an excellent compact size thanks to the application of design optimisation techniques.

Alongside the base plate, all XHE cranes are fitted as standard with a 7-inch colour touchscreen that, thanks to its clear and intuitive display, makes it quick and easy to control a large amount of information: sensor readings, percentages or pressures caused by the load on the outrigger rams, oil temperature, stability etc.

As with all of the XHE models, the F1150RA is fitted with a version of Fassi’s stability system, called FSC/SII. This exploits the improved efficiency of the innovative angle sensor combined with a moment limiter.

The F1150RA.2.26 xhe-dynamic displayed on the Transgrúas stand at the Smopyc fair is the version with six hydraulic extensions, with a load moment capacity of 84 tm and a maximum hydraulic outreach of more than 16 m. When combined with the L616 hydraulic extension, this crane provides the same lifting capacity, but with a hydraulic outreach of 27.50 m, which can be increased to more than 33 m with manual extensions.
