Dank der Unterstützung vieler engagierter Menschen war die diesjährige Sammelaktion von ungenutzten Softwarelizenzen sehr erfolgreich: Es wurden so viele Softwarepakete gespendet, dass sie jetzt versteigert werden. Mehr als 570 Einzelprodukte stehen bei ebay bereit, darunter Windows 98 und Word 2000, hochwertige Bildbearbeitungsprogramme und die beliebte "Ahnengalerie" sowie Spiele, zum Beispiel "Die Siedler 2". Der Erlös der Aktion geht – wie immer - an die Deutsche Welthungerhilfe.
