International Trade Fair for Cleaning in Production - bigger than ever

parts2clean 2008 is met with Great Exhibitor Interest

(PresseBox) (Neuffen, )
parts2clean is the world's most important trade fair for cleaning in production - this is how nearly all of the exhibitors summed up the event in 2007. And thus it's no wonder that the 6th parts2clean will once again be bigger than ever. Roughly 100% of all exhibition floor space occupied last year has already been booked for the trade fair, which will take place in Stuttgart (Germany) from the 28th through the 30th of October, 2008.

parts2clean is the only trade fair in the world which focuses exclusively on the topic of cleaning in production. The offerings are correspondingly broad-based - they include equipment, processes and process media along with treatment for degreasing, cleaning, deburring and component pre-treatment, as well as parts baskets and workpiece carriers, handling and process automation, preservation, corrosion protection and packaging, cleanroom technology, job-shop cleaning, quality assurance, test methods and analysis procedures. The trade fair concept is consistently and universally aligned to the process sequence for economical parts cleanliness in accordance with specified requirements, and makes parts2clean an efficient information and procurement platform for users from all industries. Apparently, manufacturers and suppliers of products and services for cleaning in production see things the same way. Because eight months before the trade fair opens its doors, 155 companies from nine different countries have already made firm bookings. 14% of these exhibitors are from countries other than Germany. "Numerous companies have reserved considerably more booth space than last year, and nearly all of the floor space which was occupied last year has already been booked", reports Hartmut Herdin, managing director of event promoters fairXperts GmbH in Neuffen, Germany.

Cleaning - a Manufacturing Step which is Becoming More and More Important
In 2007, visitor numbers at parts2clean increased by 35% as opposed to the previous year to a total of 3800. And there's still plenty of remaining potential, because requirements for component cleanliness are still on the rise - and user demand for information and solutions continues to grow as a result. This has been substantiated by market and trend analyses conducted by the Fraunhofer Alliance for Cleaning Technology. Amongst other interesting facts, they've revealed that very few manufacturing companies are aware of how much influence cleaning in production has on the value creation process: On the average, for example, 27.5% of the production time required for manufacturing a cylinder head for a 4 cylinder diesel engine goes to cleaning. According to REFA, 6.6% of the total cost of manufacturing are attributed to cleaning. There are lots of other parts for which cleaning makes up a considerable share of total manufacturing time and costs.
A cleaning concept which is well matched to actual requirements frequently makes it possible to exploit optimisation potential throughout the entire production sequence, and to make manufacturing more efficient. However, this can only be realised with the necessary know-how regarding the performance characteristics of the various cleaning technologies and how they can be ideally implemented. This know-how is disseminated by the exhibitors at parts2clean. And expert visitors have the advantage of being presented with information which is relevant for their own specific applications in a highly targeted, comprehensive and efficient fashion.

Additional Know-How Offered by Expert Forum and Special Show
The exhibitors' presentations will once again be enhanced by an attractive and informative supplementary programme at parts2clean 2008. The expert forum is a genuine crowd-puller which has been taken advantage of by more than 1400 visitors in recent years, in order to increase their knowledge regarding all aspects of cleaning in production. In addition to this, the special show covering the process sequence for economical parts cleanliness in accordance with specified requirements will offer food for thought regarding optimisation of the cleaning process.
