Hochschule startet ins Weltall

Ein Höhepunkt ist sicher der Vortrag vom Chef der Europäischen Weltraumorganisation ESA. Doch auch die weiteren Gäste der öffentlichen Ringvorlesung "Astronomie und Raumfahrt" haben es in sich.

Warum man überhaupt zu einer Mission zu einem Kometen gestartet ist, wie man auf unbekanntem Terrain landet und was man auf dem Kometen vorfindet. Darum geht es in den ersten beiden Vorträgen im Rahmen der Ringvorlesung "Astronomie und Raumfahrt" an der Hochschule Flensburg. Vor Andrea Accomazzo, verantwortlich für die Flugbahnberechnung auf dem Weg zum Kometen, wird dazu Holger Sierks für Max-Planck-Institut für Sonnensystemforschung sprechen. Sierks war bereits bei der ersten Vortragsreihe zu diesem Thema Ende 2015 dabei. Die Premiere war ein voller Erfolg: "Nicht nur Studierende, sondern auch zahlreiche Gäste aus der Stadt und der Umgebung waren begeistert von den Vorträgen", sagt Rainer Christiansen, Leiter des Menke Planetariums der Hochschule in Glücksburg.

Christiansens Kollege von der Hamburger Sternwarte, Jochen Liske, wird über "Dunkle Energie und Riesenteleskope" sprechen. Den Höhepunkt der Reihe bildet sicher der Vortrag von Jan Wörner. Der Generaldirektor der Europäischen Weltraumorganisation ESA zieht einen Vergleich zur amerikanische Weltraumbehörde NASA. "Der Vortrag wird die Ähnlichkeiten und die Unterschiede von NASA und ESA darstellen und die veränderte Positionierung der heutigen Raumfahrt im Vergleich zu den Aktivitäten im kalten Krieg erläutern", verrät Rainer Christiansen.

Die ersten drei Vorträge finden im Hörsaal H14, der letzte im Audimax statt. Beginn ist jeweils 18 Uhr. Der Eintritt für die öffentliche Ringvorlesung ist frei.
