Content is assigned to editors responsible for it by a simple drag and drop interface. With a one-click function, the editor is immediately taken from the cockpit to the content and can then carry out needed adjustments. A shared calendar with integrated message functionality facilitates the editors' cooperation and provides fast, efficient communication between them.
The new cockpit, for publishers and other content providers, is designed as an add-on for the content management software (CMS) eZ Publish Enterprise Edition and is available through the eZ Market. The CMS solution is already used by numerous publishers for their publications, including the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal Japan, pay-TV broadcaster Canal+, Hachette Filipacchi Media (Elle), Gyldendal Norsk Forlag, Werben & Verkaufen and the European radio network, Euranet. Key benefits of eZ Publish Enterprise are the universal multi-channel functionality, the strict separation of format and content, the consistent enterprise orientation for corporate-wide deployment and the integrated Open API concept, as well as the full backwards compatibility since the first version.
"We are excited to offer this strong dashboard functionality to our customers," comments Gabriele Viebach, Group CEO of eZ Systems, AS. "The promise of the eZ Market is realized when great partners like Hyperroad take advantage of the extensibility of eZ Publish and develop new offerings that answer a need they see in the market."
eZ Content Cockpit is a development of the eZ Partner, Hyperroad Design GmbH, and is one of many extensions available in the eZ Market. www.ez.no/market
