Automating measuring points safely and economically

(PresseBox) (Ettlingen, )
Through the combined use of an automatic cleaning control and a retractable probe housing, e.g. in pH measurement technology, the regularly required maintenance of the sensors can be reduced and thus the manual workload per measuring point minimised.

Compared to traditional, permanently installed measuring points, retractable probe housings offer the plant operator various advantages. Used correctly, benefits, for example in pH measurement technology, include a significant reduction in maintenance work on the measuring point, an extended lifespan of the sensors used and increased reliability and availability of the measurement value. At the same time, an efficient cleaning control is of essential importance to the safe and economical automation of the retractable probe housing.

With the new product EXmatic 470, Exner is bringing a successor to the established predecessor model EXmatic 460 onto the market. The new control impresses not just with the use of state-of-the-art technology. The construction as well as the available functions were also developed in a user-orientated manner. Thus, many technical features already known from the EXmatic 460 have been retained. These include the openness of the system, i.e. the control is not tied to a specific manufacturer of sensors or transmitters.

Simultaneously, operation has been simplified for the user with a clear menu structure and the use of a touch-sensitive colour display. Additionally, the new product type has even more flexibility in use. For instance, the EXmatic 470 control now allows up to three different media valves to be connected, meaning the user can make use of a larger selection of possible cleaning solutions e.g. in the event of stubborn soiling.
