Over the past months, the card specialists at exceet have been confirmed and reconfirmed in this assessment. That’s why, at this year’s RFID conference in Düsseldorf, they’ll be showcasing real-world examples to demonstrate that all the trends in the retails world are moving towards contactless payment solutions. Modern, urban services based on multifunctional customer cards are on the rise as well.
“Working closely with the German banking industry, we have already implemented a variety of these innovative solutions – like “girogo” for contactless payment via EC card or credit card. We are now seeing increasing customer demand for this and similar solutions for mobile, NFC-based smartphone payment systems”, says Fabian Rau, Head of the Logical Access Solutions Segment at exceet Card Group. “Now we want to put projects that have already been commercially rolled out as well as new developments like Apple Pay on the discussion table at this year’s RFID Conference. A core focus will be on how to select the right technology mix.”
Philipp Egner, Head of exceet Card Group’s Access & Transport Segment, who has seen similar developments in his field, adds that “our “Stuttgart Services” project provides an indication of the strategies that modern cities and regions will employ in providing citizens and local businesses with an attractive and cost-efficient infrastructure. At this year’s RFID Conference, we want to showcase new solutions that offer a wide range of variants and technology choices to ensure lasting project success.”
