NBD Biblion in the Netherlands Selects Primo and Aleph by Ex Libris

Jerusalem, Israel, (PresseBox) - Serving a nationwide network of libraries, this library supply foundation selected Ex Libris solutions for their open architecture, Web 2.0 functionality, and the Company's strong international reputation

Ex Libris(TM) Group is pleased to announce that NBD Biblion has selected the Company's Primo® discovery and delivery solution, and the Aleph® integrated library system. Reaching five million citizens of the Netherlands, NBD Biblion offers products and services to hundreds of public libraries in the Netherlands, including central IT services, a national distribution service, and a central online catalog of over 600,000 titles.

Following a rigorous selection process, Fons Bouthoorn, media manager at NBD Biblion, commented that Primo and Aleph were chosen to improve the experience of the millions of users of the organization's libraries, via improved search performance and Web 2.0 functionality, supported by a robust cataloging service. "The total package--software and services--that Ex Libris offers is very attractive," he noted. Wilco de Gier, manager of ICT product development at NBD Biblion, added that "the open architecture of Primo perfectly complements the functionality of our existing systems.
