Picomig 180 basic power source - small and compact

Carrying handle for easy transportation of this lightweight machine

Mündersbach, (PresseBox) - With the small, light and universal power source, Picomig 180 basic, German market leader EWM HIGHTEC WELDING offers value-for-money access to the world of economical welding with the most modern inverter technology - in the workshop, on the construction site and for assembly work.

The lightweight machine provides the right process with excellent welding properties for every application. MIG/MAG standard welding with solid or cored wire, MMA with antistick function and TIG (LiftArc).

The welder finds the operating point for perfect welding quickly and easily by means of the easy-to-use twin-knob operation for welding voltage and wire-feed speed. Outdoor welding with self-shielding cored wires is perfected by means of pole reversal via an external welding current plug, completely without tools or adjustments to the machine. The sturdy 4-roller drive with large 37 mm feed rollers ensures safe wire feeding. Changeover between solid and cored wire spools takes place at lightning speed. Additional special features for a machine of this class include the Euro central connector for the torch and standard sockets for the welding leads making replacement especially easy.

Weighing just 15 kilograms, the Picomig 180 basic, in the sturdy plastic casing, retains its maximum output of 180 amperes at the site of operation, even with high mains tolerances (-40% to +15%). It still supplies a 30 percent duty cycle with maximum performance in TIG mode even at ambient temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius. The single phase machine (230 V) therefore ensures unrestricted operation with generators and mains leads up to 50 metres long. EWM also offers an optional transport vehicle for the small power source with a bracket for a 300 millimetre wire spool.
