EyeVision 3.0 now also runs on Raspian

Karlsruhe, (PresseBox) - The EyeVision 3.0 image processing software is equipped with a platform independent user interface and now not only runs on Windows and all Linux systems but also on the Raspberry Pi operating system called Raspian.

On the board, which is only 8 x 5 cm in size is integrated a 700 MHz ARM processor and optional a 256 or 512 MB working memory. As hard disk serves an at least 2 GB SD-card.

The combination of EyeVision 3.0 and the extremely small processor offer new possibilities for the industrial machine vision. For example the user is now able to connect USB cameras by The Imaging Source (TIS) and IDS. This makes a quite well-priced solution for tasks such as object detection, pattern matching, measurement technology, code reading, surface inspection, etc.

The advantage of the miniaturized one-board-computer Raspberry Pi is that it does occupy very little space and this makes it easy to operate decentralized applications. Therefore also the EyeVision software is applicable in even more industrial fields, such as medical and pharmaceutical industries, microscopy, as well as automotive, electronic, semiconductor, etc. industries.
