Concentrated stacker expertise plus one more hall for materials handling and warehousing technology

LogiMAT 2012 in Stuttgart

(PresseBox) (Munich, )
In its anniversary year in 2012 LogiMAT will for the first time be taking up all of the north section at the New Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre. The section on materials handling and warehousing technology will be particularly strong - it takes up two exhibition halls. And Hall 9 will feature a concentrated display of stacker competence. An extensive accompanying programme covers topical themes in the sector.

Now in its tenth year since launch, LogiMAT has established itself as the leading trade fair and networking platform for the intralogistics sector. When, in around 100 days time, this 'International Trade Fair for Distribution, Materials Handling and Information Flow' opens its doors in Stuttgart under the motto of 'Innovation and Networks for Sustainable Growth', it will be more than a tenth anniversary event. Nowhere else in Europe in 2012 will there be a logistics trade fair of comparable size and sector concentration, one that gives such comprehensive and in-depth coverage of the current status of intralogistics and the ways forward into the future.

This year the event is taking up one more hall (Hall 9), which provides 10,000 square metres of additional space. Which means that between 13 and 15 March 2012, the intralogistics trade fair LogiMAT will be taking up the entire north section of the New Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre.

Although booked stand space has increased by an average of 15 percent, the concept of a compact, concentrated and easy-to-navigate forum remains. "The secret of LogiMAT's success lies in the clear thematic organisation within the halls and in the trade forums which are carefully designed to suit the individual sections of the exhibition," says Peter Kazander, Exhibition Director of LogiMAT. In order to remain true to this principle and to do justice to the increased demand for stand capacity, all the segments will move sideways by one hall. The section on hall construction, operational equipment and materials handling technology, expertiseplus system suppliers, will be extended by one hall and is now being presented in Hall 1 and Hall 3. Exhibiting in the latter are many big-name manufacturers such as Knapp AG, Kasto Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG and Bleichert Automation GmbH, the US-American companies KIVA Systems and RMS Robotics, Delta Shelving Systems from Australia and the two key Swiss players Denipro AG and Ferag AG. Here in this attractive environment, they will be able to put on an even more exclusive display.

Among the exhibitors, the list of stacker manufacturers (now exhibiting in Hall 9) reads like a Who's Who of the key global players. They range from A for Atlet to Crown, Cesab, Clark, Hyundai, Jungheinrich, Linde and Mitsubishi all the way through to Still, Toyota and Z for Zeppelin. "With the presence of over 30 stacker brands, LogiMAT 2012 is providing a concentrated display of stacker competence that is every bit as impressive as any other platform elsewhere," affirms Kazander proudly. On the German market alone, experts estimate that there are around 600,000 to 700,000 ground conveyors in use - half of them electrically operated and half with combustion engines, with an increasing trend towards electric stackers. Correspondingly, the accompanying programme in Hall 9 covers the latest developments in driverless transport systems.

"With an exciting mix of presentations of the latest products and developments, expert background information and the opportunity to make contact with all the key manufacturers and suppliers in the intralogistics field, in a compact, concentrated forum, the anniversary edition of LogiMAT will be the key networking platform for the entire sector in 2012," summed up Exhibition Director Kazander.
