This award was presented by Airbus Helicopters Vice President Christopher Grainger, the head of Oil & Gas Sales, to MHS Aviation Executive Director Mohsein bin Ma'som, during the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition 2015 (LIMA).
MHS Aviation has been operating Airbus Helicopters rotorcraft for the past 30 years, including aircraft in the Ecureuil, Dauphin and Super Puma product lines. It also owns the largest fleet of Super Puma helicopters in Malaysia for offshore operations.
"Airbus Helicopters rotorcraft surpassed 10 million flight hours in the oil & gas sector early this year, with the Super Puma helicopter family leading the pack," stated Grainger. "A big congratulations to MHS Aviation for contributing significantly to this historical milestone."
From 2009, MHS Aviation has flown more than 50,000 flying hours with its fleet of Super Puma helicopters, which includes more than 23,000 hours logged since 2011 by the H225 version (formally known as the EC225). MHS Aviation had a remarkable year in 2014, accumulating more than 7,000 flying hours utilizing its five H225s - averaging more than 117 flying hours per helicopter each month.
"Airbus Helicopters is extremely proud to be the rotorcraft manufacturer of choice for MHS Aviation's oil and gas operations, which represent a benchmark within the industry," said Pierre Rossignol, the Managing Director of Airbus Helicopters Malaysia. "We would like to thank MHS Aviation for their unwavering support of our products over the years. We will continue to provide them with close support and after-sales service from our Kerteh base where MHS operates from, and look forward to many more years of strong partnership."
