PV installers in the Netherlands prefer Asian module brands

(PresseBox) (Bonn, )
Dutch PV installers tend to use Asian module brands when installing a PV system. This is one of the many results of the "European PV InstallerMonitor 2015/2016", a European installer survey from German market research specialist EuPD Research.

Participants of the “European PV Installer Monitor 2015/2016” in the Netherlands prefer to offer modules from Asian manufacturers to their customers. The four most offered brands are either Chinese, Japanese or Taiwanese. Altogether, Asian manufacturers dominate the module landscape in the Netherlands.

JA Solar is the most used module brand within the sample of 75 surveyed Dutch installers. Nearly 30% of the survey participants carry the brand in their portfolio. Solar Frontier follows in second place ahead of BenQ Solar and Yingli. However, none of the surveyed installers carry any of these four brands exclusively in their portfolio.

Apart from topics such as market penetration, the study features issues such as procurement management, brand management, satisfaction and recommendation as well as energy storage. The study does not focus on the Netherlands solely, but is also available for the PV markets in Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. Overall, a total of 650 European PV installers were surveyed for the 8th edition of the “European PV InstallerMonitor”.
