First CAN FD Bluetooth Adapter goes into series production

After the successful presentation of the first CAN FD Bluetooth adapter at the embedded world 2019 in Nuremberg, ESS Embedded Systems Solu-tions GmbH has produced the first small series of the CAN/CAN FD proto-col converter, so that series production can now begin.

CANgineFD_BT features a powerful 32-bit Cortex-M4 microcontroller that is clocked at 80 MHz and supports CAN FD data rates up to 10 Mbps.

Together with the built-in Class 1 Bluetooth module (100 m range), CANgineFD_BT is the perfect cost-effective solution for wirelessly coupling CAN and CAN FD networks with a smartphone or tablet.

Thanks to the Bluetooth serial port profile (SSP) and the well-documented ASCII protocol, integration into any Bluetooth enabled platform is user friendly.

CANgineFD_BT uses an extension of the popular Serial CAN Protocol (SLCAN) to send and receive any CAN and CAN FD telegrams with freely adjustable bit rates.

This makes the CANgineFD_BT a perfect device for configuration or maintenance of CAN FD systems.
