Click Scolmore has sights set on Europe with IEC LOCK

16A IEC-Lock C19 cable available

(PresseBox) (Tuningen, )
Two years after the launch of its innovative IEC Lock (‘unique’ Female C13 connector) onto the export market, Click Scolmore has introduced a new, more powerful version and is looking to build on the success of the original model both in the UK and within key European markets with this latest addition.

The brand new C19 connector has a completely different design and, with a higher 16A rating, it is suitable for use on much more powerful equipment and applications. The concept is the same - its unique locking mechanism provides protection for computers, servers and electrical appliances that are vulnerable to vibration and accidental disconnection.

Representatives from some of Europe’s leading data centres and power protection solutions providers were among the first to see the new product, at a recent launch and networking event held at Scolmore’s head offices in Tamworth in the West Midlands.
Jerome Leve, Click Scolmore’s Export Sales Manager headed up the presentation: “We have had tremendous success with the original IEC Lock in the last two years - with applications in the data centres, networking and broadcasting sectors. With this new, more powerful design now available we are confident of developing opportunities across a range of applications, from data communications to medical environments, through to use with electrical equipment in the lighting and entertainment industries.”

The IEC Lock provides a very simple means of securing a power lead to any electrical appliance that uses an IEC type mains lead. The locking mechanism of the IEC Lock’s unique patented female C13 and C19 connectors is beautifully
straightforward and can be retrofitted. The lead is simply connected to the appliance as any other IEC lead. Once it has been fitted, the IEC-Lock mechanism locks it to the appliance, ensuring that the lead cannot be accidentally pulled or vibrated out of the inlet.
