Mit der neuen Backplane ergänzt ELMA die bestehende Produktpalette um einen weiteren Beitrag zu der immer wichtiger werdenden CompactPCI Serial-Technologie. Ihre Highspeed-Steckverbinder unterstützen Datentransferraten von bis zu 12 Gb/s auf allen fünf Slots.
ELMA-CTO Aksel Saltuklar freut sich über die Neuheit: "Die Nachfolgetechnologie von CompactPCI wird vom Markt immer besser angenommen. Nachdem nun mehrere Kartenhersteller leistungsfähige Produkte anbieten, wollen wir unseren Kunden noch mehr Flexibilität bieten. Mit der kleinen Fünf-Slot-Backplane greifen wir zugleich einmal mehr den Trend zum Downsizing auf. Deshalb arbeiteten wir zugleich an einem kleinen CompactPCI-Serial-Standardsystem und einer weiteren Backplane mit drei Slots. Beides wird in den kommenden Wochen vorgestellt."
