Dabei greift Elabo auf die Softwaresprache C zurück, da diese seit Anfang der 80iger Jahre bei Elabo TestSysteme verwendet wird und sich in der Praxis stets bewährte. Auch National Instruments hat diesen Trend erkannt und bietet für alle Entwicklungsumgebungen entsprechende Tools an.
Diese Entwicklungen zeigen: Gefragt sind offene Systeme, die es möglich machen, Prüfungen und ihre Ergebnisse in verschiedenen Programmen wiederzugeben.
