In cooperation with Peter Altmaier and Dirk Messner
Digital Natives from Europe develop innovative solutions for sustainable consumption and production patterns
The “Innovate2030 – Digital Natives for a Sustainable Future”-Challenge is a pan-European innovation competition, which is run in cooperation with Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, and Dirk Messner, President of the Federal Environment Agency, in which the Digital Generation is invited to come up with new (digital) innovations in cooperation with established companies and organizations.
ekipa calls the digital generation, consisting of students, researchers, young professionals and start-ups from different disciplines to innovate on real-world challenges. In collaboration with numerous organizations like Bell, duisport, QVC, Swarovski or WMF there are 8 relevant use cases from vastly different fields for the participants to tackle.
Timeline:
From 3rd May – 5th July 2021 the teams will choose a use case and develop new ideas and approaches around the given use cases.
The best teams will be invited to a digital bootcamp: they can further develop their ideas together with representatives from politics, business and science, receive new input to gain a deeper insight into the problem and potential solutions.
The challenge is concluded with the final event: the finalists will pitch their solutions in front of a jury of high-ranking representatives from business, science, and politics.
To put the results into a social context and to stimulate a discourse in politics, economy, and society, ekipa will publish the results of all final teams in a large publication.
Prize:
In addition, the best six teams in the challenge will receive prize money totaling 20.000 EUR, which will be divided equally to the winners of each use case. They also have the chance to win further collaboration possibilities with the company of the use case with the prospect of implementing the solution and access to exclusive events and personal mentoring by IT experts from Bechtle and innovation experts from Impact Week.
