Over 3.700 professionals from 23 countries attended WindPower 2019. Exhibitors such as Isepa, Senvion, BASF presented their solutions. Nordex, Siemens Gamesa, Enercon GmbH or Vestas supported the event as Megawatt Sponsors.
The Congress was the first opportunity of the year to bring together the main participants in this field, including developers of strategies, government leaders, executives from project developers, manufacturers of equipment and components, suppliers of financial and technical services, researchers and developers. Mexico WindPower 2019 presented a top level congress program focusing on the development of Mexico’s wind potential and the reforms and technologies.
Mexico has a wind power potential of over 50,000 MW and only around 17,000 MW would need to be used to meet the target of generating 35% of electrical energy from clean technologies by 2024. The installed capacity is estimated to generate 5,891 MW this year and sometime between 2020 and 2022 a capacity of 12,986, over 7,005 MW more.
As the new Mexican government began their mandate, new regulations and reforms continue to be implemented in the energy sector. The energy supply system in Mexico is in a big change. In parallel to the roll-out of renewable energies the demand for power efficiency technologies is constantly growing. This offers interesting opportunities for European companies to tap into this market.
Energy Mexico is organized by Tarsus México and represented by their partner E.J.Krause & Associates, Inc. in Europe. For additional information and options to participate, please contact the EJK office in Germany or visit the official website www.mexicowindpower.com.mx
