More than 200 attendees from Russia and the CIS, The United States, Brazil, Germany, and India visited M-Enabling Russia 2015. Professionals from both industry and private sector, as well as representatives from state and disability advocacy groups participated in parallel session discussions. Axel Leblois, President of G3ict, welcomed participants, delegates and guests at the opening ceremony and emphasizes the significance of the event. Influential keynote speakers including Javed Abidi, Chairman of the Disabled People’s International (DPI), Dmitry Khalin, Technical Director of Microsoft Russia, and Stanislav Ivanov, Vice President of ‘All-Russian Society of Blind’ appeared at the conference. The event supported the unique exchange of practices and expertise, and focused on the latest worldwide developments in the industry.
M-Enabling Russia 2015 gained high level government support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the RF, the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communication of the RF, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the RF, UNIC (United Nations Information Centre Moscow), the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, professional organizations, funds and structures. In addition, the event received support from Bauman Moscow State Technical University and The Center for the Development of Social Innovation “Enabling Technologies,” became a strategic partner of M-Enabling Russia 2015.
VimpelCom JSC, owner of the brand ‘Beeline’ and one of the biggest mobile service carrier in Russia, was the Platinum sponsor of M-Enabling Russia 2015. ‘Beeline’ became the first operator who introduced a sign language project for hard-hearing people. Microsoft Russia supported the event as silver sponsor and provided high level speaker and professionals for the conference.
Sponsors Microsoft and ‘Deaf-Blind Fund Russia’ extended their commitment and participated two weeks later at M-Enabling Summit in Washington, which was held in its 4th edition.
