"The high traffic around the brand new Jetrion 4900ML and 4900M-330 made it clear that the power of modularity is of interest to the label industry," said Sean Skelly, vice president and general manager of EFI Jetrion. "To date, there have been over 13 billion labels printed on Jetrion digital presses, which speaks to the production capability and industry leadership of the Jetrion brand, as well as the continued success of EFI customers. All of our digital label presses were running consistently throughout the show, and both current and potential customers were impressed by the recent advances in our technology."
At Labelexpo, EFI's Jetrion 4900ML UV digital inkjet printing system made its US debut, with its key features of modular integration of finishing capabilities. EFI also showed the 4900M-330 for the first time worldwide, which features a 330-mm print width for increased productivity, profitability, and an expanded range of applications. Show attendees were also able to learn about the latest version of EFI Radius through live demos.
"We are very excited to be the first to purchase the 4900ML in the United States," said Robert Marsh, CEO and Banner Baron of eSigns.com. "Our installation is taking place this week, and like our clients, we are anxious to launch our new label, decal and sticker lines. The 4900ML's combination of printing and finishing in one streamlined process will enable us to produce most client orders the next business day at a fraction of the cost of traditional flexo methods. Our clients demand 'fast, easy, cheap, and totally awesome,' and the Jetrion 4900ML, like our four other EFI grand format printers, is a key part of our strategy to deliver in this market segment."
