EBV Elektronik signs distribution deal with leading IIoT technology supplier Neoway

EBV Elektronik, an Avnet company (NASDAQ: AVT), has confirmed that it is now distributing the full array of wireless modules from Neoway. The cellular and low power wireless access network (LPWAN) modules manufactured by Neoway are proving highly effective in a broad array of Internet of Things (IoT) deployments. They have already seen traction across Asia and the Middle East, delivering reliable and secure connectivity. Smart grid, utility metering, industrial monitoring, digital healthcare, surveillance systems, point of sales (PoS) units and fleet management systems are among the diverse range of applications they support.

Key Neoway product highlights include:

• The N27 NB-IoT/eMTC module. This is a fully featured LPWA cellular network solution that supports data rates of up to 1119kbps on the downlink and 588kbps on the uplink. This module is highly suited to use in location-based services such as tracking, thanks to its built-in GNSS capability, as well as all applications requiring future proof low power connectivity with support of existing networks.
• The N58 and N75 modules. These LTE Cat 1 and Cat 4 units are optimized for machine-to-machine (M2M) communication and IoT applications, where high throughput is required, and low power operation is not the primary concern. Both are housed in compact form factors. They are tailored for incorporation into smart energy gateways, industrial routers, telematic systems, and more.
• The N510M 5G/4G/3G multi-mode module. This is targeted for use in future proof applications that require elevated levels of data throughput, such as video surveillance equipment, telemedicine implementations and remote Wi-Fi access points.
