Dymax Presents State-of-the-Art Light-Curing Technology at MEDICA and COMPAMED

Customized Solutions for Medical Wearables and Medical Device Assembly to be Shown at Two Booths

(PresseBox) (Wiesbaden, )
Dymax, a leading international manufacturer of light-curable materials and light-curing equipment, will present its latest innovations at two booths at the world's largest medical trade fairs, MEDICA and COMPAMED. Both trade shows will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany from November 15 to 18, 2021. While the focus at the MEDICA booth will be specifically on light-curable materials for medical wearables, Dymax will exhibit its latest adhesive developments for the medical device sector at COMPAMED at its joint booth with Hamburg-based Biesterfeld Spezialchemie GmbH.

At MEDICA (Hall 12, D21), Dymax will officially introduction its first-in-class formulations for the assembly of wearable medical devices.

The 2000-MW range of structural medical adhesives are they only adhesives, encapsulants and coatings in the market pass ISO 10993-10 for sensitization and irritation. Free from TPO, a material of concern, and made without IBOA, a known skin irritant, these adhesives address device manufacturers’ concerns about skin proximity and sensitivity.

In its joint booth with Biesterfeld Spezialchemie GmbH at COMPAMED (Hall 14, D08), Dymax will showcase a selection of its latest UV/broad-spectrum and LED curing equipment, including the improved BlueWave® QX4 V2.0, the enhanced BlueWave® AX-550 V2.0, and the SD-200 syringe dispensing system, as along with some of its newly developed UV formulations. Adhesives on display will include the autoclave-resistant 1040-M material for potting and encapsulation, the proven Dymax MD® 1406-M needle bonding adhesive, and the 215-CTH series of catheter adhesives, which feature reliability, excellent adhesion to difficult-to-bond plastics, and aging resistance.

Of particular interest to in-vitro diagnostic manufacturers is Dymax 1172-M-UR, a light-curable adhesive that bonds to low surface-energy substrates such as COC/COP and features patented Ultra-Red® fluorescent technology.

Dymax technical experts will be on site to answer your questions about light-curable materials and curing systems, discuss customer applications in detail, and provide demonstrations of key products and technologies.
