Welcome to Shanghai!

ITSC 2016 is inviting you to China

(PresseBox) (Düsseldorf, )
The programme has been published and, from now on, the German Welding Society (DVS) will be happy to accept registrations for the International Thermal Spray Conference & Exposition (ITSC) 2016. This year, China will welcome the worldwide experts in the field of thermal spraying on May 10 to 12.

In the industrial metropolis Shanghai, the representatives of the sector will be offered concentrated knowledge under the motto "Thermal Spray: Fostering a sustainable world for a better life!" For this purpose, DVS has organised a comprehensive lecture programme and its American partner, the ASM/Thermal Spray Society (TSS), will come up with a fully booked exhibition with an international cast. With the TSCC Thermal Spraying Committee of Chinese Surface Engineering Association (CN) and the SICCAS Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CN), experienced national partners are being incorporated and are supporting both organisers.

The conference programme will offer clearly application-oriented contents. In ever more sectors, thermal spraying has become established as an economically significant and sustainable coating process, starting from medical technology via energy generation (conventional and regenerative technologies) right up to vehicle construction. ITSC will introduce advantages and challenges of and for application solutions by thermal spraying in these and other sectors with promising futures. In addition, the event will offer an up-to-date overview of and detailed information about the latest spraying processes and coating properties. However, trends relating to everything to do with the consumables and subjects such as training and further education will be addressed as well.

One particular feature of the lecture programme will be the "Industrial Forum" which will be offered exclusively to visitors to the exhibition and to conference participants.

The up-and-coming generation in the field of thermal spraying will receive its own platform at ITSC. In the lecture session entitled "Young Professionals", young academics will introduce their scientific papers. The best paper will subsequently be honoured with the Oerlikon Metco Young Professionals Award.

DVS and ASM/TSS are looking forward to three informative days dealing with all aspects of thermal spraying.

In Shanghai, DVS will draw attention to the next ITSC too. Then, the International Thermal Spray Conference & Exposition will take place in Düsseldorf on June 7 to 9, 2017.
