Joern Wettern, Vice President of CenterTools USA, is excited about this new customer in the security-conscious financial services industry. The company, which does not want to be named because of internal policies, selected DriveLock specifically to secure internal data and customer transactions. For example, only selected employees are allowed to use removable storage devices, and all data stored on these devices is automatically encrypted. Also, only selected employees may connect other devices, such as BlackBerry phones and other smartphones, to their computers. When removable devices are used, DriveLock controls which data can be copied to these devices.
For eight months before deploying the software, the company performed extensive tests. After completing this process they were confident that DriveLock would provide the required protection and could be easily deployed. This assessment was confirmed when the rollout to all computers in the distributed locations was completed within a few days and without any problems.
As a result of the exhaustive testing and the assistance provided by CenterTools during this process, all 16,000 computers are now protected by DriveLock. CenterTools, a company based in Germany, is happy about having yet another customer with worldwide operations. “When we get international accolades for the capabilities and usability of our product, we know that we are on the right track for making our customers’ networks secure,” noted Mike Prieskorn, president of CenterTools Germany, where DriveLock has been a market leader in device control for many years
