E-paper display deZign with new functions
An extended function is an integrated LCD panel to display real-time data e.g. at stops. This modification of a simplified dynamic passenger information system is characterized by its cost efficiency. With the integration of a vandalism proof pushbutton the user has the possibility to switch the content itself at site. Several images can be hold from which the user can choose. An additional feature is text-to-speech. Here again there is an integrated pushbutton which reads out loud the content while operating. In doing so, it is also possible to announce special information operated from a central station. The new features can be seen at the ground of dresden elektronik where a showpark is located. Moreover new pages of the web presence of dresden elektronik provide the possibility to become familiar with the innovations. On the one hand technical aspects get described and on the other hand application scenarios are illustrated.
The e-paper display deZign was also exhibition focus in occasion of the Symposium Traffic Management at dresden elektronik at the end of May. These new variants of the display system were presented: Integration of a pushbutton for switching the content, text-to-speech at the touch of a button and the energy self-sufficient solution with a solar panel.
Practical lectures and exciting application reports around the topic traffic management rounded off the day. Future-oriented solutions in the field of traffic light systems formed another focus that day. A tour through the company opened the possibility to get an insider view of the production processes of dresden elektronik. At the inhouse-exhibition visitiors had the chance to exchange experience. Partners like SAG GmbH, Dresden IT GmbH and MABEG Kreuschner GmbH & CO. KG took part. More than 50 guests came and the entirely positive response confirmed that it was a thrilling day for everyone.
