Transport Shipping Orders received as either paper documents in the post, e-mail attachments, fax or EDI – can be processed by the tangro TM-FWO (Transportation Management - Forwarding Orders) solution which automatically recognizes and validates the content and transfers the data directly into SAP Transportation Management (TM) to create Forwarding Orders. With this solution, document processing is performed faster and more efficiently and provides more visibility of all Transportation needs.
Approximately 80% of the shipping orders (forwarding orders) received by logistics companies are paper documents that have to be captured in SAP – a time-consuming process that requires valuable staff resources. In addition, the process is subject to data entry errors and there is a risk that documents can be lost.
tangro TM-FWO processes incoming forwarding orders in SAP Transportation Management (TM) by automatically converting them into a finished SAP object.
Information from the document such as consignee, value of goods or other freight terms (Incoterms) are intelligently identified and checked for consistency. Since all incoming shipping orders are listed in the tangro TM entry journal, a reliable overview is guaranteed of all documents that have to be processed.
The whole process after electronic data capture, including document validation, is performed directly within SAP TM. In addition, tangro TM-FWO is easy to use, with a clear and intuitive user interface which has the familiar look and feel of SAP.
